My name is Ryan and Karting is my passion
I stared karting when I was 6 years old. My first go in a kart was at Rye house karting track In the pouring rain. I took to it like a duck to water. We then brought a bambino kart from the kart shop and hit the main track.
within 3months I was bored with the lack of speed and we exchanged the bambino kart in for a BRK Honda chassis. Over the next few years we took part in multiple events, Rye house / Whilton Mill / HKRC Kimbolton / PFI / Shenington / Red lodge
Upcoming Events
PFI is the UK's largest outdoor karting circuit based in Grantham, Lincolnshire and caters for various corporate events and race meetings throughout Lincolnshire, Newark, Nottingham and the UK.
British, European and World Championships are held at PFI, as well as a club race held once a month by Trent Valley Kart Club who are based at the track. The circuit was built by Paul Fletcher, who still owns it today.
Recently in 2011 an extension was added on to the track including a bridge, making it one of a kind.
Hunts Kart Racing Club (HKRC), or Kimbolton (or Kim as it’s affectionately known as!) was founded in 1959 by a group of karters who wanted somewhere to race their recently purchased karts.
As the years went by, various changes and improvements were made to this circuit and during the late sixties and early seventies Kimbolton was the largest karting circuit in East Anglia and was a very popular circuit even then.
Throughout the years Kim has been improved and extended. The present track was complete in the early 90’s and occupies what was the home of the 379th USAF Bomber Squadron during World War Two.
HKRC has been home to Motorsport UK racing for over 50 years and our race meetings are on the second weekend of the month.
